Semiquip button heaters offer the widest temperature range of heating solutions for laboratory and OEM applications, allowing the user and OEM to engineer these heaters to suit their applications.
The UHV Button Heaters are designed around using ultra low outgassing materials providing three options, giving the choice of materials.
Each button heater has a standard thermocouple as per the specification table below, if a different thermocouple is required, we can easily accommodate this.
Button heater bodies range from 316 Stainless steel for our low temperature range to Tungsten for the highest temperature, with heatshield material to match the heater requirements
For Higher temperatures, the material used reflex the wide range of applications ranging from AlO3 Mo and W, the combination of these allow temperatures of upto 1600°C to be attained.
The forward facing heated surface, known as the top plate is constructed from AluminiumNitride (AlN), which is stable at High temperatures in Inert Atmospheres, in air it forms a protective oxide layer allowing temperatures upto 1370°C in certain conditions. For the higher temperature, Alumina top plate enables 1500 in oxidising environments.
The unique and proven designs provide the ultimate in application flexibility coupled with the easy integration using our 6mm threaded fixing, sturdy power fixing and thermocouple termination. The Standard models includes a Thermocouple plug on a universal fixing bracket giving the option of the mounting the plug in either of two plains.
Where a plug is not required, we offer 300mm thermocouple flying leads, if a longer length flying lead is required, please request quotation.
Customer or modified designs are also welcome, especially where replacing of existing heaters is being sourced.
